Montgomery C. Meigs

A beautiful, bright cool day.The air is clean and breathable by NYC standards, listening to Julia Fischer's rendering of Bach's sonatas and partitas for solo violin, drinking a strong aromatic cup of hot chai, sun streaming in as I write. Not much more to ask for... Th war in Iraq seems to still be a far off afterthought to many people. The wounded vets who come home, almost all way past their rotation, are having, as you would expect severe adjustment problems, finding the economy near damn broken, and the political climate mildly more appreciative. I am poisoned with grief at the hypocricy of the right,.Where is the dirigible Limbaugh? Did he volunteer? Cheney?Powell? Fleisher?Bush?Rice?Rumsfeld? McConnell?any of the noxious lying weasel gasbags? Any of the criminals from Bush 43?Glen Beck, go volunteer boy. You too Hannity .O Reilly? Then stop you cowardly call for my children to go serve. or is it only the kids of poor and working class parents who should serve in this madness? If I had it in my powers I would build a veterans hospital and cemetery on the property of GW Bush and co, the way General

Montgomery C. Meigs did in the Civil war,on the steps of RE Lee's plantation, so that every moment of every day, the dead would be visible, and that Bush and his cronies would have to at least SEE what it is that they did for their beloved OIL and Petro -dollars.
